Love is often misunderstood as something we “fall into,” as if it’s accidental, unpredictable, or out of our control. But the deeper truth is this: love is something we build, quietly, daily, intentionally. Real love isn’t just the rush of emotion or the spark at the beginning. It’s the small choices that follow. It’s how you speak when you’re frustrated. It’s the patience you practice when things aren’t perfect. It’s the effort you give even when it’s inconvenient. And most importantly, love starts within. The way you treat yourself sets the tone for every relationship in your life. If you constantly criticize yourself, you’ll carry that energy into how you love others. But when you learn to respect your own boundaries, forgive your own mistakes, and show yourself kindness, you create a healthier foundation for every connection you build. Love is not about losing yourself in someone else. It’s about showing up as your fullest, most grounded self, and allowing others to do the same. This week, instead of asking “Am I loved enough?” try asking: “How can I give love more intentionally?” Because love grows where it is practiced. And often, the smallest acts, a kind word, a moment of presence, a little patience, end up meaning the most. |
